As opposed to the problem statement of this study, other independent variables like using knowledge, problem solving and seeking social support are not predictors of academic procrastination. According to the results of stepwise regression analysis, the implied variables explain 29% of the total variance. The results of the research reveal that the best predictors of academic procrastination among all the independent variables are respectively, avoidance, self-transcendence and discovery. The obtained data was analyzed through stepwise regression analysis.
